Sarah Sands has been appointed Editor of the London Evening Standard, following Geordie Greig's new appointment at the Mail On Sunday.

Ian Walker has been named Senior Deputy Editor, and other promotions involve Charlotte Ross taking up the Deputy Editor position. Evgeny Lebedev, Chairman of Evening Standard Limited, said 'I am confident that Sarah and her outstanding team will capitalise on London's historic year to create the next chapter in one of the great newspaper success stories of recent times'.
